My year in review
2006 was a great year. I turned 40, went to 3 weddings and met indirectly, Romeo Dalliare, the Lt.General at a rally in Toronto for Darfur.
He was in Rwanda trying to bring order in a crazy and kaotic situation that led to the genocide. I read his book Shaking Hands with the Devil. Amazing what this man has seen and endured. BUt to actually come face to face with him was surreal. My friend Kelli actually had the balls to go shake his hand coming from a woman who doesn’t say much I was impressed. He is such a gentle man. In December I am going to a Aids benefit called Under an African Sun with Stpehen Lewis and the African childrens choir. This is all part of my master plan to go to Africa.
